Kraków isn’t only about history — many young creators are linked to the city: influencers, rappers and singers. Friz, the founder of the Ekipa collective, is from Kraków, and so is Bletka, the voice of the hit “Taxi”. Here are well-known people helping to shape the city’s culture today. Influencers linked to Kraków
Friz (Karol Wiśniewski), born in Kraków in 1996, is one of Poland’s most popular YouTubers and the founder of Ekipa — a group that also includes his partner Wersow (Weronika Sowa). Friz also created and produces a younger group, Genzie, whose members include Hi Hania (Hanna Puchalska), Bartek Kubicki, Kartonii (Wiktoria Bochnak), Świeży (Bartosz Laskowski), Julita Różalska and Fausti (Faustyna Fugińska). Their content has a huge influence on the culture of Poland’s youngest generation.
Musicians
Bletka (Aleksandra Bletek) was born in Kraków in 1999 and graduated from the city’s University of Physical Education. Her breakthrough was the duet “Taxi” with rapper Kizo — the first Polish single to go triple diamond. She later released “Hero” (2024), among others, and is building a solo career.
Viki Gabor, winner of Junior Eurovision 2019 with “Superhero”, was born in Hamburg but grew up in Kraków and has strong ties to the city.
